Less well known is the fact that there are several generations of hybridized selections in the history of Skunk Kush, which give a distinctive character and scent to both the regular strain and the new all-female version.

Skunk Kush has the thick branches and dark velvety leaves of its Afghani ancestors and demonstrates the vigor and size of the Skunk, typically gaining 150% of its vegetative height in flowering, occasionally even more. The bud formation is the winning feature of this pungent magic potion of cannabis crops.

These chunky Afghani-Skunk nuggets are normal when growing the feminized version of Skunk Kush and our favorite phenotypes have an amazing flower structure, made up of clusters of buds - seemingly a return to Skunk # 1's Sativa ancestor . The effervescent calyxes make the buds solid and semi-open, offering weight and also a large surface area for the production of resinous glands. Some trichomes develop almost bulb-like heads, so the most astute grower can actually see the swelling and color change just before harvest.

When grown in its natural form, or with the low branches removed, the central bud of the Feminized Skunk Kush takes up half of the central stem in most plants, and 75% in the more open sativa-leaning females.
